Services:

I have been working in the mental health field in 2018. I started in the substance use field and quickly learned if I want to effectively to help with that I need to learn how to help with a lot of other things. While working with individuals with substance use problems is still a specialty of mine, I’ve grown to specialize in anxiety, depression, and trauma as well.

In graduate training I developed a framework combining existential and cbt focuses. Since then I have gone on to receive specialized trainings in EMDR and DBT. Often I blend these modalities in our conversations, but also can stick with solely one depending on your preference or the situation.

If it isn’t obvious by the title and rest of the website, I offer psychotherapy. I serve primarily individuals, but work with couples and families as well, especially if substance use is involved. My sessions are typically 50 minutes long, with that last 10 minutes as a buffer time in case it’s needed. Sometimes longer sessions are needed with some clients preferring 90 minutes; this often can be the case with EMDR.

Ideally, I begin meeting with someone weekly. Once rapport is established and goals are starting to be met, our frequency will likely reduce. My ultimate goal as a clinician is to put myself out of business. While my ability to change the world is limited (unfortunately) so my goal will never be achieved, I aim to at least help my clients transition out of therapy. That being said, many like to continue using it with some frequency after their goals are met.

My pricing is $200 per clinical hour.

How We Work: The Two-Lens Approach

Traditional talk therapy can often get stuck in an endless loop of over-analyzing the past without giving you tools to survive the present. My practice balances deep, philosophical exploration with targeted, evidence-based behavioral protocols.

  • The Structural & Somatic Lens (DBT & EMDR): Depending on your incinilation, we may use EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) to process deep-seated trauma and calm an overactive nervous system. At the very least, w will use theory and strategies from this school paired with the practical coping skills of DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy) to handle anxiety, triggers, and intense emotions in real time.

  • The Existential & Narrative Lens: We tackle the big picture. Anxiety, trauma, and substance misuse are rarely just medical symptoms; they are often a crisis of meaning, identity, or freedom. Together, we look at who you want to be outside of the scripts handed to you by your past.
